I don't know about any ebooks of software to do that but the best way to get traffic from google is to have an unique and good content. And I also submit to various directories both paid and free, it worked for me very well some time back but now, it has dipped after the recent spat of google with PR on directories.

Try Youtube..Make a very nice video & add your url as watermark..Sure many traffic will come to your site..
