I have never got Dugg so I am not sure. May be it will be better idea to talk to the web hosting company before purchasing whether they can handle such huge traffic in few minutes or not. However, if you have blog at Blogger.com then don't worry at all coz it can bear as much traffic it receive.

Thanks for that post. I was thinking blogger sites would handle heaps of traffic as they are hosted on google servers.

Well yeah, the google ones can handle it no sweat... I'm looking for regular website hosts though, as that's what I'd be doing

The mjority of hosts would be able to handle it, as long as you have enough bandwidth. Just remember that the more traffc you have the more resources you will use.

I know most hosts can handle digg as long as there's enough bandwidth for it. I hope to experience getting on the front page on digg so I can tell what it is like

Well.... a lot of them cut you off for CPU usage when you hit that many visitors, so that makes it not a matter of bandwith
