Default When is it overselling

How much is too much when you're trying to not get the oversellers? Is 80gb HD with 5 people on it at $2 a month too much or is it profit?

Not exactly sure your question. But, overselling is overselling, period. Different host do different amounts, but it is best if you find one that does not oversell at all. The server will likely be in better shape than one that is overselling.

I agree overselling puts a lot of stress on server's

also its not good if you have reseller account under your belt.

moreover its better to go for the non overselling services.

Overselling is usually when the host is offering "unlimited" features or features that is obviously too good to be true...and all that for the small change in your pants pocket.

You know what they say..."If something's too good to be true, it usually is".

I'd just stay away from the hosts that you think might oversell, and then you'll be good. Hosts that oversell aren't something you want to be a part of, as it can bring a server down for quite a while if theres too much crap on it.

I dont think you can get to a point. But when you are given 100mb by your provider, and your selling 101mb as small as it is. You are overselling.

Don't forget about prices and influence that show the company oversells.

It doesn't matter if you have 120gb HD and are offering 10 accounts at 50mb each, its still overselling. I mean what if some of the clients decided to use all of the space.Bam! There goes your server.

Overselling is really a serious problem. It will put lot of stress on server's.I'm taking services from web hosting.I feel they are not oversellers. They have lot of dedicated servers for different functions.I think we can rely on them.
