Chargebacks to debit cards

I was wondering is there anyway we can chargeback funds we paid using debit cards? Just want to verify before I pay something using my debit card.

It depends on the issuing bank, but generally you can do a chargeback with a debit card. You usually have to file a report with the bank on why you didn't get the item or what was wrong with it. They investigate and rule on the claim. It may not be as fluent as a credit card's chargeback.

I've done a couple on my card when I didn't get the item or someone kept billing it after cancellation. I've always gotten the money back, but my bank has been really good at that. The best advice I can give you is to check with the bank and see what their policies and rules are.

Thanks for the advice. I do plan on calling up my bank to verify if I can issue a chargeback. But somehow with the banking system in my country. I highly doubt they will allow this.

Yeah, it's hard to say what the rules are concerning debit cards in other countries. I would imagine though Visa or Mastercard has similar rules to the US for their debit cards, but as we said, the only way to know for sure is to check with the bank. Good luck.
