I have a few domains with dashes and they all appear in Google etc - I just avoid hyphen names if I want to resell although there are some names that I think look better with the hyphen.

Dashes are nothing to worry about and in most web related cases like building pages URLs they are preferred over the hyphens and you van find a lot of top ranking domain names and sites having dashes in their names.

In domain market. A dash means a less valuable domain. But if you are going to develop your site it would equivalent to the one without dash. I have seen time to time dash domains getting fair prices in Auctions but one reason for that is traffic and age of the domain.

No it will not interfere with search engines, but the name without the hyphen will usually be placed ahead in google.

Avoid hyphenated domains where possible. They sell for less and they do not rank as well as a non-hyphenated domain would. But they are still better than changing your targeted keyword altogether - you just don't get the Exact Match Bonus.

Jennifer84,

Hyphen or middle line helps people to distinguish easier words. But google very easily separates joined words.

If you have only one days then there isnt any problem but many dashes in domains dont make it look good. These type of domains are difficult to remember also and have low market price.

So... dont use more than one dashes
