I am thinking of purchasing a domain name for my website.

Always register your domains with a big registrar like Godaddy etc. The problem with resellers is that, they remain the owner of your domain name so if something bad happens you might lose the domain. I've lost a couple of domains registers at a webhosting site (which was a domain reseller).

just being big should never be the criteria always do look for what kind of customer service they provide, believe me once u have trouble with your domain(stolen or cheated etc) customer service of Daddy will let u down

Trusted providers you get what you pay for. If you really want good service go top level spend a little bit more cash enom for the win.

If you search the net, you will find registrars having hundreds of thousands and even millions of customers worldwide like GoDaddy, NameCheap, Enom, Tucows, etc.

Never heard of limedomains, so i cannot judge it .Maybe some well-know is easier to believe, but that doesn't not well-know brand is not good ,just consider of their service and some other information what you think is important.

I personally wouldn't go for limedomains .. Because firstly they are still kinda new and some companies are just good for registering domains and some are good hosts . And because not many people have really tried limedomains .. you just can't be sure .

If you really need it buy it there

I currently use LimeDomains and I'm wanting to transfer. Their servers are very slow compared to others and charge most than others.
