Well whats the best way for take a full backup of a SMF forum ? with all avatar files and other files ? what is the easy way to do this ?

What I usually do is just back up the additional files (not the core package). Then I back up the database which is really important because that's where all the posts & customized settings are. That's pretty much it. If the servers die or something, you can simply download the latest SMF package from sourceforge, upload the additional files, run your database and voila: your forum's all fine (well, in most cases it should be fine!).

Its pretty easy to backup sql database but hard part is backing up attachment folder and avatars folder. is there a way to do it rather than by FTP ?
