Ok that's the story: I had a good site with much people and my domain was dropped one day. I tryied to register it that day, but later and the domain was already registered. Now I sometimes viewing if it will be dropped, but it's registered for a long time.
Who doing this job? How they manage to view which domain was dropped? And what they are getting for registering and parking my domain? |

well there are alot of sites online which list dropped domain,
but first thing why did you let it drop if it was essential for you. also it might have even happened by chance or luck, also prepayment ensures that domain remains with you only. also there are domain registerars which allow backorder and these backorders can be used to lock in any dropped domain. |

Domains don't drop instantly on expiration. They are put into redemption to give the owner time to renew. Although some domain registrars charge a fortune to pull it out of redemption. But it shouldn't just be dropped. You said someone else owns it when you do a whois? Are you sure it's not the registrar. They sometimes change the registration in redemption to their info. If so, you may be able to get it back if you talk to them about it. If it is truly dropped, and someone else owns it, you would be at their mercy to get it back. Another possibiility is that if it is dropped, it maybe "tasted" where people will register for five days to test the traffic before letting it drop again.
I would talk to the registrar you registered it at and the registrar it says in the whois and see what the real status is. That will give a you a clearer picture of your options. |

It's not really registrar fault if the domain owner forgot to renew the name. It's always a good thing to put your domains on auto-renew if they are very important/.
