Just a Beta1 Hiccup, or is the release of EI 7.0 part of a wider strategy to attempt to seize control of the PPC market in Asia? Is the urgency of IE 7.0 due to a perception that gaining market share of PPC in Asia is a now or never situation, and is the implementation of IDN a deliberate part of that strategy?

The activation method employed by Windows Vista is similar to the one used by Windows XP and not even the large size of Windows Beta 1, 2.42 GB, doesn’t seem to discourage those who are anxious to see what Microsoft has prepared for the new OS.

The fact that Windows Vista Beta 1 is freely available on the Internet is not surprising, considering that in the initial testing stage, 10,000 testers were supposed to participate.
