Is it really usefut to submit to bunch of free directories?
I have seen many webmasters take the service to submit their sites to hundreds and thousands of free directories. I m wondering is it really useful to seo? especially everyone do the same thing like this.

I still believe it does help submitting to free directories. A backlink is still a backlink

i guess it's useful if you submit to a certain number.
if you get too much backlinks from these directories at some stage it won't matter anymore and it will be a loss of time/money
