Default how to restart apache in hostgator shared plan (urgent)

i changed the php.ini file's maximum execution limit to 300 from 30..

it was required to restart apache for changes to take effect, but i dont know how to restart it..

i used this command in cron jobs:--

/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart

but i get this error:-

/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd: line 13: ulimit: open files: cannot modify
limit: Operation not permitted
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd: line 14: ulimit: open files: cannot modify
limit: Operation not permitted
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd: line 15: ulimit: open files: cannot modify
limit: Operation not permitted
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart: httpd not running, trying to start
fopen: Permission denied
httpd: could not open document config file
/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart: httpd could not be started

now my site is not opening and is giving me this error:--

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please help me correct this asap.

I don't think they allow you to restart servers in Shared hosting plans. The best thing you can do it contact them immediately and ask them to restart the server.

Naturally you can't restart your server manually on shared plans becuase if you'd done it, all sites on this apache server would have restarted. You can do this on vps or dedicated server.

Yes how did u change php.ini in shared hosting plan as only you can contact support and they do this for you. In dedicated servers and vps you can do this.
