Im going to start a new forum so which software should i use phpbb or smf? I have used phpbb and its a good software but the mods are outofdate. I tried smf once but found it somewhat ok. So i need publics opinion which one should i use?

Phpbb. I prefer it a lot more. It has so many more customizations then SMF. I like it a lot more then SMF but that's just me.

Definitely PhpBB 3.0.1. SMF is very mediocre with mediocre mods and mediocre themes as well as space for customization. Actually I only heard of SMF through my cPanel, otherwise I would have never chose to use it. I gave it a try then immediately went back to phpBB. However I currently operate several vBulletin forums.
