Stars gather for world music awards

Destiny's Child were named best group at this year's World Music Awards.

The group, who performed at the event, are due to split later this year.

Mariah Carey won three awards. She was named best selling R&B artist, best selling female pop artist and Entertainer of the Year.

Usher was named best selling male artist according to Splash.

Gwen Stefani won the award for best selling female new artist and The Game won the male equivalent.

The ceremony honours artists on the strength of their worldwide sales figures.
