What's your biggest frustration about free hosts?
Mine are the hosts that overextend their services and shut down within hours of opening up their hosting because they never set up warez prevention and allow all kinds of files to be hosted without forethought. Then they claim they can't understand why they were shut down and they reopen to the same circumstances and get shut down again. If you've been to FreeWebspace.Net you should know what Im talking about. |

The Yahoo ad pannel is so bad!!
They keep on changing it from a frame ad to part of the site. |

ALOT of people are using free hosts to store warez files, yousendit.com if probaly full of warez since you can email up to 1gb in file size to anyone in email (stays on server for 7 days)...

Yeah but by 7 days its all gone so its a waste but when I was looking for hosting it was so annoying how many hosts had crappy control panels and they were slow but I started my own hosting company so I dont have to worry about that now.

Yeah downtime is an issue with all hosts and unfortunely it has to happen at times but its the hosts who have a small amount of downtime who are sucessful.

pop ups and banners. i started my own to be rid of that.

yea.....same...down time....thats why i just pay for hosting....im paying US$2.95 month, and i can host 3 domains....thats cheap enough for me....

My biggest frustration would be ads hands-down. Some of the free webhosting sites put those annoying activex pop-ups and downloads that unless you accept the download, it practically freezes your computer. Very annoying, and you lose many potential viewers/customers that way.
