Default When would you consider moving to a reseller?

Nowadays if you own more than 3 sites or one larger site it works out cheaper to buy a resseller account and use it to host your sites than buying seperate hosting accounts for each. With a reseller you can also start selling hosting or giving it away in compertitions with out any cost for you and if selling you could actually make a bit of profit.

So when would you consider moving onto a reseller, or would you prefer to stay with seperate accounts keeping each site completly seperate?

Well actually you can get almost as much space and bandwidth with an $8/mo hosting account as some of the resellers provide for almost $100/mo.

For example powweb.com has hosting for $8/mo with unlimited domains and 400GB/mo bandwidth. You also have a ton of space that comes with the account.

I've heard very, very bad things about Powweb and the problems they've had since they changed owners.

I would stick to a host that offers mid-range specs, hosts like that usually fit a ridiculous amount of customers onto a server.

Yeah...

Moving to a reseller account should be done when you feel it would be easier to manage your bandwidth/space.

You can get a small (1-3 gb) reseller package for about $5 per month from most hosts.

Since I dont offer reseller packages...
www.pristinehost.com has very nice stuff, so does www.mkoh.com

Yes I do agree with resllers. But always check whether they oversell or not. Also check out the servers location. Very important.

What is a decent rate for a reseller package? I guess i haven't had enough experience shopping through reseller packages.

from the moment that I created 2 websites, I moved to a reseller account because it was cheaper for me to manage many websites, plus the fact that I keep total control of my bandwidth/storage

Moving into reseller is better if you have enough people to help you work out your other website when it grow bigger and bigger
