Depends only the content really, I tend to go for lighter designs on most sites, but say for a Rock Metal band site a dark theme would obviously be more appropriate

Fairly brighter color scheme but that should not affect the appearance of the site, it must not look bad...!!

It depends on the type of website that you are gonna hav! If you are gonna hav a professional looking business website, then it is preferable to use light and nice designs.

For Gaming and those sorts of websites, you can verywell use Dark and fun designs.!

Yep, it just depends on what kind of site you plan to have and what all you plan to put on it.

Most gaming sites now-a-days have a darker theme, as do most rock bands. Not because that is what is accepted but that is what looks the best.

But say for a hosting company or a biography or a portfolio then you would want to go with a lighter design because it is easy to navigate around and much easy to find stuff. Plus black font is much easier to read on a white background then a white font on a white background.

I feel entertainment sites must be of dark or bright colors and official sites must be of light colors.
