WHy yahoo is so cheap?

I bought my first domain at yahoo , cost : 2.99 dollars
now is 1.99 dollars.
Why yahoo domain bussines is so cheap?

Because you cant transfer out the name and will have to renew your names with them every year. Also they have less features like other popular registrars have..

Are they allowed to lock you in so you can't go somewhere else?

I don't remember reading that when I registered two names there. But then, they weren't domains I think I would sell. But I am surprised they are allowed to do that. A contract that said you had to stay for a certain number of years is one thing, but it's hard to believe that 'never' would be legal.

that because they will charge the double the very next year which means you are finally gonna pay the full somaunt some day or the other.

Looks like yahoo domain is reserved to newbies, but price is atractive

Yahoo is even good if they allow to transfer out the domain. Thats the only bad thing that you have to always keep the domain with yahoo which can be a pain sometimes.

I like yahoo.. but I haven't regsitered any domain names with them yet. I saw there cheap price and I think that's cool. Soon I'll regsiter a domain form them. I'd tries many domain registrars and I'll try yahoo maybe
