SMF has search engine friendly urls built right in and all you have to do is turn it on in the admin.

Seo mod helps you to have search engine friendly urls, so that you can have all your pages indexed.

I use Zoints on my vBulletin board. Works great and is free. I looked into vbseo but Zoints will do the most of the same stuff and some better for free.

I dont use any mods but i seen in joomla a mod that makes user friendly urls

If the script is not SEO friendly, I try to tweak Apache's Mod Rewrite feature. if the site is purely HTML, I make sure the filenames are SEO friendly.

I don't run any at the moment, but I remember reading about a great VBulletin SEO mod that made all the topics and such have a great SEO styled name. It was just reffered to as VBulletin SEO mod, have a google maybe!
