Recent PR Update was Weird
I find the recent PR update very weird. The homepage of my site gained PR3 but most of my inner pages gained PR4. My homepage definitely has more backlinks than my inner pages.
 Does anyone here experienced the same?

Is because updaitting is not 100% done, you have to wait a couple of weeks to see final results

One reason I think is that, inners pages contain the substance of your site. Search engine algorithm seems to index the more substantail portion of your site ahead of your main page.

It's definitely weird, I've done a great deal of link exchanging with many PR3 & PR4 websites, and my all my sites still have a PR rating of 3 !
