My apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum, but I felt it was the most appropriate one for this discussion
I've recently seen really many members requesting from others to digg, stumble or their site for them Never really tried placing any of my sites on any of them, but do they really work in grabbing traffic ? To be honest, I've never seen anybody using these services except webmasters promoting their sites. Do these sites get alot of traffic from regular users ? And are they really worth all the time and effort spent on them trying to get dugg or stumbled or whatever ![]() |

I'm also interested to find out if its really effective as I'm planning to use it on my new sites as a sort of advertising.

They do work. I've been generating some traffic from these sites lately and spending some time in them is worth it.

I have not come across too many people who say that this works. That's a welcome change Joe. Still if we can have some more opinions on the subject it the effort is worth the salt.

A LOT of people who don't have websites themselves use Digg. Not too sure about Stumble. It's only now getting as much exposure as Digg and . It really does bring in some good traffic, if you post a good article or something worth "digging".

Websites like these are a sure way to drive traffic provided you are on the main pages of it.but i would say its more of one time traffic from there. i would love to know the analysis if anyone has done it here..

I cant say anything about Stumble and Del icio us but I have tried Digg in the best and I am simply amazed by the traffic it could send to your page. The interest in your article is the key for success though.

Yeah, if your article is interesting, and tech related especially, you can do really well with Digg. If you get a main page on Digg, it generally comes with loads of backlinks, too, since other people start to pick it up, and spread your submission around. Which in turn builds your place in search engines. It's not just straight traffic.
Never read up on StumbleUpon/domaindomaindomaindomaindomaindomaindomaindomaindo maindomaindomaindomaindomain though.

They work very well especially if you manage to get to the front page.
