Google Adsense vs Google Adwords

Everyone is talking about Google Adsense which is intended for site publishers. How true is the claim that Google Adwords which is for advertisers could even be more profitable than Google Adsense?

Adwords and adsense are basically the same thing. Adwords is what you use to place ads on sites that use adwords. How much money you make from adwords is completely dependant on how you use it.

I didn't knew that we can earn through google Adwords. I have a google adword account and it is validated by my credit card. And there is no way for earning.. only expanse. and i think this too are different thing. Adword for advertising your site by spending $$ and adsense to publish other advertisement in your site to earn $$.

That is exactly how it works. The only way you make money form adwords is if you make quality ads that in turn make you money. You can not make money from it because it is a service that you buy not one that you get payed for. Adsense is the program that pays you for showing the ads.

The key then is you have to look for high paying commission programs which you will have to market using Google Adwords. Moreover, these programs should be reputable and not those fly by night programs.

Yes, adwords don't earn you money per se.
But if used appropriately, it can drive sales and also quality traffic, which would in turn earn you even more money than you had invested in adwords earlier.

As KHyuga said, it can bring you money in the long run by routing good traffic to your site. From there it's a matter of keeping people coming back.

Using Adwords to make money by bringing users to an affiliate ad could work with the right set-up.

i still dont understand why it is not possible to transfer the money earned with adsense to adwords ///:

It can be profitable to use Adwords because you can get buyers to your products but on adsense you get clicks which sometimes aren't enough money.
