Forum Promotion

I have a forum and I want to advertise it. Do you think I should spend money? Or should I just use my forum signatures? I really want my membership base to grow.

The best way to market a forum is to offer posting contests, free contests, giveaways. These things really motivates a new user to become active part of the community.

I think we have plenty of forums..maybe you can concentrate more on your origin or if you want to go internationally, I think you need something really hot like give $0.20 for every post..I'll be the first who will do that!!

Boosters are a good way to get your forum active and running. And try to promote it also to every other forum with related content so you could get atleast new members to join.

1 - Hire forum posters = this will help tp bring life to the forum.
2 - Promote through contests like referral contest = this will help save marketing cost.

I really think you should try to hire some posters first, then focus on non payed posters

- Sign up at similar forums and include your signature link. Post regularly and build up reputation on various boards.
- Social bookmarking is the hot thing now so don't forget to miss this out.
- I tried social networking which also brought good results.
- You can also try directory submissions.
- I also used PPC but wouldn't recommend unless you have some spare cash.

I think you should spend money on forum, Then when the forum is popular than your signature will have some value, Forum,s are veruy much helpful

It wil probably be better to place a some money in advertising to get your domain out there. But it won't hurt to also include your domain in your signature as this can help also.
