That’s right. Let’s travel back 100 years to the home of beer… Germany. The tradition of drinking from a boot started with a savvy general who promised his troops he would drink beer from his boot if they were successful in taking over a town. You see, this general was smart, he didn’t want to taste his own sweat filled boot because he probably wasn’t drunk enough yet. He had a glass boot made for him so he would keep true to his word. Since that wonderful day, soldiers have celebrated victory by enjoying a couple
liters of beer from a big glass boot.
