Are there any softwares that will back up your server day to day and then remove old backup (3 months or older) automatically?

I don't see a difference, still you have to buy space fo backup to be stored. maybe it might cost less since you wouldn't need much features.

I personally wouldn't trust another company to hold my database of clients, are there any softwares that would do it?

Doing it yourself would take quite a lot of time, since it is daily. There has to be a software out there that does this

I'm sure there are scripts doing that, and hosts use that in their plans. Captain, are you a host? or just looking for a solution to use on your hosting plan?
You may cosider serverpoint.com backup solution offered in the plan. http://serverpoint.com/english/web-hosting.phtml |

Well can't we setup a cron job do this ? Even if there is a script it will be using the cron jobs to do it.
