Moniker Domain Asset Management (MDAM) services will launch its first live and online auction at this year's PubCon Las Vegas 2007 next week, it has emerged.

The conference, which is aimed primarily at search engine and internet marketing, takes place from December 4th until the 7th and MDAM has scheduled the auction for the second day.

A number of high-profile generic domains are up for bids such as Closings.com, Communication.com, Copiers.com, HighDefinition.com, Invest.net and Taxes.com.

Commenting on the event, Monte Cahn, MDAM's co founder and chief executive officer, said: "This domain name auction will feature premium domains that will help increase search optimisation results and direct navigation.

"We expect significant interest in these premium domains from hundreds of bidders," he added.

Moniker.com reported this week that a number of generic sites are expected to open with bids of over $500,001.
