The reason that the Phillipines is starting to take over the market is because their rates are generally cheaper. India has found out that while outsourcing is a good market, it also has many problems for the workers. Recent studies have shown heart attacks, eye problems and diabetes are becoming more prevalent due to the constant sitting at a computer churning out code. Thus the rates have gone up to deal with the crisis and turn over. Phillipinos have yet to discover this and are still keeping the price low because of it. I imagine though in the end, they too will raise the prices as well. And perhaps the US will once again be competitive in the programming market, as there a lot of programmers out of work.
