Default How much money are you making from parked domains?

I had a couple of domains parked somewhere but never made a nice amount from them. So, I developed those domains and made small websites. Do you think a parked domain can earn better than a developed domain?

Unless you have a name that is already in the fray bringing in traffic on it's own without a site, it's hard to make money in parking. One reason for this is that you are basically forbidden to market the parking of the domain, and thus very often the traffic that it does have dries up. The exception to this is perhaps a common name that will always have traffic. These are rare though.

In development, you can choose how to advertise, monetize and perpetuate the domain names value. I would definitely opt for developed names. It's also a lot better to sell them with a site that is running.

I made very little in parking, a good chunk of change in developed ones.

Very, very less. I personally feel that earning from parked domain mostly depends on the keyword you choose of your domain or it should have been a pageranked domain, else what you earn is very less.

if u have around 50 or more names then u can earn some decent amount else it will be difficult to earn by parking names.

That's not always correct. If a single domain is receiving many type-in hits (like a typo domain) and is making revenue then it is better than 100 non-popular idle domains.

Developed websites earn more if you develop them well. If you have a really generic domain name, parking it will earn you quite a bit.

i've got a parked domain name that gets about 40-50 hits per month.
it's parking on Sedo for almost 6 months now
but revenue = nada
though it's an israeli domain, i beleive it's an intersting one (addlink.co.il).

do you guys have something better then Sedo?
