Default ofcourse the .com

I would recommend the .com domains, as they are more common. you can also use a .net domain if .com is not available.

.org domains are usually used for Organizations.
if you are planning to make your website for an Organization then .org is best.

it all depends on your requirements.

It's really not close at all. Dot coms are better by far. Nothing else compares to .coms

Looking from the websites point of view, i dont think it makes much of a difference...it is only a name after all...

But looking from a user point of view a .com is certainly better as people have got used to it..

.com is like the mother of all Domain Name extensions.. No doubt that you gotta have a .com Domain, its just a lot more popular than any domain name extension on the internet..

However, like eveyone knows, most names are booked with the .com registry, so pranith my frineds, wish you luck!!

A .com is always preferable for any business website. You also have to choose a name that will be easy to remember and type into the url box, easily says what you site is about and it always helps to get a domain that contains keywords that will make seoing your site easier.

It is good to have all domain extension for a domain name if possible that would best standardize and preserve your brand. But it is hardly possible these days as most of them are already registered. But the best choice would be .com

Definitely you have to look for a dotcom. But, if your name is not available and you are not willing to pay thousands for it, you could go to .net, which is pretty good. Or try a domain hack

you shouldn't really be suggesting a Domain Hack so openly... ;-)

Anyways, the problem, as I said earlier is that internet/Domains have become synonymous to a .Com Domain... Although, I agree that .net comes close to .coms, but i would suggest that if not .com, anyone could go for a ccTLD of his/her country... Like .uk, .us, .in, etc.. As far as I know, .US and .In are on promos... Click Here
