I used Photoshop 5 for many many years until I finally got round to upgrading to Photoshop 7 and was astounded at the difference. Then about 18 months ago I finally upgraded to Photoshop CS2 and am in love <3

Liquify is the BEST!!

I also use JPEG Optimiser if I need to compress JPEGs (I'm old school so still believe in keeping images efficiently small, even though the world has gone broadband crazy), Macromedia Fireworks for Animated GIFs (banners & thumbnails). I also use a program called "Recolour" which allows you to recolour black and white photos. This can produce some interesting effects.

I also use PHP within sites to resize pictures and add watermarks automatically.

Now the question to all your Photoshop users is: what is your favourite filter/special effect?

When you have 50 gigs of bandwidth it's time to swap.

After I bought a copy of Photoshop CS2 I thought WOW this is it, it's all that I need. Thinking about that moment right now makes me feel the same way about it...

For business use I cant use many of the features do to the nature of my establishment, the photos have to remain as is. All I do is crop'em to size and adjust the brightness or the contrast if needed then save them for web. That’s it!

For my personal use there is an awful amount of technique’s, filters etc that can enable one to become a graphic’s Guru, the problem is it’s very time consuming to learn on your own by reading the manual. Me saying this, I did always have the option to take a training course online.

I'd say photoshop 7.0 is the best of all, even though cs2 or 3 do have some cool additions.

I use Fireworks 8 to do my graphics. Sometimes I use Corel. For 3D graphics I use POV-Ray
