Linux or Windows Hosting ?

It really depends. If I prefer to use ASP or .NET, definitely the hosting should be under WIndows environment. ASP can be hosted under Linux thru Chilisoft but it should be more stable and reliable under Windows.

But I would say Linux hosting is better than Windows as php can be hosted under linux but not in windows I think so

Anyway I prefer to go with Linux!

I would prefer linux for many reasons, first off its more supported, theres more servers in the world running linux than windows. Second of all its free! You can save paying a massive amount of money using linux instead of windows. Third, more control panels like cpanel etc. Which are far easier to use than Windows Web C-P's in my opinion. Fourth, there are more web languages for linux like php, cgi etc. (yes windows has .asp but theres actually a mod for apache so it can support .asp pages) I hope that explains my opinion of linux and windows hosting.

My choice is linux coz i dont know asp moreover linux hosting is very cheap

even if i like some features of linux..i still prefer windows! im more into ASP thats why!

Faster in general, and I don't really like ASP, so I'm not losing out not going with windows.
