Free vs. Paid Web Hosts

I am using free hosting and so far I am satisfied with it. But my friends recommended me that I should try using a paid hosting because it is more reliable. I am thinking about it right now and haven't decided yet.

Paid hosting is better in most cases. If you are just trying to get a web presence on the Internet, free services like blogger and wordpress offer a descent way to get your blog Online.

The downside to many free hosting services are you get ads on your site or you have a subdomain. The other problem is if you build a successful site and every wish to sell it, most free services forbids this in their TOS.

There are many cheap hosting servers out there and in my honest opinion (from using both) I would use paid over free.

Paid is always better. But for someone just starting out with a new website, I'd go for the free route until the site gains enough traffic and popularity to warrant a paid host.

Yes free host is not reliable, but how about low cost web host?
Who here have tried the 3 low cost web host mentioned in the post? And what's your opinion?

Paid hostings are always a better choice. Free web hosting is suitable for personal pages and for novice users who want to make their presence in the dot com world.

I think paid hosts might be more reliable or efficient. But I have seen that occurring on some post to host hosts. The active forum is a benefit to the host and there is an active support base. So there is some hope yet.
