I always look at it in Fire Fox first, then IE. And when there are errors in usually minor errors in the div tags, and such.

However, most of the time the errors appear in IE rather than in FireFox. I also check in another computer to verify

I don't think there is a choice in the matter. You need to design for both as they are both widely used. If it does not work right in either you will be alienating a large number of viewers.

Most people would design their sites to cater for IE because there are still more IE users around online.
However, that doesn't mean we can neglect how the website turns out in FF.
It's important to make sure that the site turns out fine in all browsers.

There are some codes that look perfect on Firefox but get messed up in IE. i honestly get confused at those times. checking the code again would be another headache and one cannot rule out the possibility that there are a lot of users for both these browsers.

I used to design my site for both IE as well as Firefox. I used to check my site on various browsers like IE7, IE6, IE5, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Maxthon, etc.

I make my websites so that they show properly on my Opera Web Browser. I dont have firefox and just dont like using IE, so all my sites are made to work properly and nicely with my Opera Web Browser.
