Depends on the use... I rather have HTML because I know it. But some sites you have to have PHP.

Well I code my sites in HTML but when it comes to the file name, I always change it to have a .php extension so that I can use php includes function on my site, because it is something I use alot of in my site.

well, considering that html is coding, its the absolute main role in web design.
Though, php mkes everything so much easier and organised!

But, its a pretty hard decision choosing from those two >.>

php is much better to work with but you need to make sure they are no holes in coding or any of the site else you could get defaced by once of those kiddy scripters. Lol.

HTML is limited to static websites. PHP provides the dynamism so that you can run a database driven website. They co exist and they make a good pair.

Both HTML and PHP are worth learning. You can't built a website without leaving any one of them. PHP can put power of dynamic pages generated according to the input which HTML lags.

Heh. HTML and PHP are two absolutelly different programing languages. HTML is for static pages only. You can't compare them.

HTML or PHP?? Ha ha ha....
There is no comparison between this two. HTML is not a programming language. You can create just static client side code with HTML while PHP is used to create dynamic server side code..
