PHP, i would say just because of the whole lot of more features that it offers to the user.

PHP all the way.Why not html?Because it lacks the ability to manipulate information on demand, or communicate with web servers, the result beeing a static web page.

I would say neither... Neither is specifically better than the other...
Html is great for building basic sites, however it does admittedly lack the ability to perform dynamic operations. However without HTML, everyone would take years to code the simplest things and also PHP utilises HTML.

Both of them are great for what they are needed for on their own they are both quite unusable...

I guess pHp is better, with more functions and features. But alot of starting people use Html. So it is like (with my thoughts) pHp better, html more popular.

HTML and PHP go hand-in-hand. I consider PHP useful in working with large amounts of data. HTML is just used to tell the browser what the website should look like.

HTML is a user side. PHP is server side. you can't use PHP with out html, but if you want to build a forum, news system or some thin like this (with database in moset) You have to use PHP and html.

It depends on your task. if its a simple page with static content then u can finish with just HTML. PHP use for tasks like sending mails or anything with a dynamic process.
