For me I feel safe using PayPal because I can trust on their service. If you want to know other services which amy be alternative of PayPal than XOOM is best for me. It gives better services for me. I get my money in 3 to 4 days in my bank accounts. Also their fees are very low for transfer money.

Paypal's service coverage is still limited. The best alternative is egold because of its world wide coverage. One drawback in using egold is its no charge back policy. That means that your transaction is good as final. While this is a plus for sellers, this policy is not pro buyers.

The only one I've heard of from this list is neteller.
Are the others actually widely used at all?
I would think that even egold and Moneybookers are more popular.

A good alternative to paypal would be e-gold and moneybookers. E-gold is a bit tricky since you need to fund it via exchangers.

From how i see it, the only closest competitor of Paypal is E-Gold... One of the biggest reason, is that Paypal is not available to all countries. And people would do transactions only to those have been proven safe and effective, hence they are the popular ones.
