I love powweb, good price, good customer support, great bandwidth and storage space. I got one free domain name when i purchased yearly hosting, but i cant transfer that domain name. Good server uptime...

I love GoDaddy, cheap but very good quality. The only problem I have with it is the fact that they use their own control panel, while i like cPanel. Bluehost is also a good one.

i am using DreamHost, and the experiance is quite mixed... downtime is a issue, and also some script some how doesnt want to run at DH

The best paid web host out there all depends on the users exact preference with what you need. I've used several web hosts with great prices, great customer service, great uptime but there is usually one feature that is missing that I need or one downside to the host. You just have to find what web host is best for you. It will be different for everyone.
When I used HostRocket, they were good to me but if you wanted to add anything to your site (extra domain etc.) it would cost you $25. They had great customer service and prices as far as the initial hosting went but any extras cost quite a bit.
