I prefer gtalk. Yahoo messenger is nice for people who are really deep into chatting. But for people who are more into discussing matters quickly (without the smileys and the winks) as well as conserving space on their drive, gtalk is the way to go. I like Yahoo services but I am not a yahoo messenger person.
