I would stay away from free domains because the website owners keep your domains and don't allow you to have ownership. They own the domain and can resell it to someone or take it away from you at any time. That's why I would recommend you to purchase your own domain name. It doesn't cost much any way, you only need to pay around 8-12 dollars.

I would recommend NameCheap, it only costs $9.29 for domain registrations and accepts PayPal too. http://www.namecheap.com

I agree with Shan, they are not trust worthy unless your domain provider allows you to transfer it for free to another domain provider

For free domains you can register 1 year free domain with register.com.However you need real credit card. They won't charge anything

I would simply try and get some money together and buy a real domain from a reputable website.

my suggestion would be same get some moeny and buy a real domain, if you wish to earn some money try namepros.com or try some PTC sites.

Before you even think of getting a domain, you have to think why you want a domain.

1. You want a domain so you can go off and sell it somewhere else for more money.
2. Develop a site and try and earn long term revenue.
3. Develop a Blog/Turnkey/Site and sell it immediately.


1. If you buy a cheap domain or even register a relatively good two word domain, it is almost worthless if you wish to sell it immediately! You are wasting your time and effort if you continue.

2. The best thing you can possibly do, as in the long run if you do not wish to continue you are able to sell it for 12+ months revenue.

3. Relatively good, you could make a few bucks if your design is nice, or if you blogs has unique content!
