  • Forum on a Host's Site?

Do you think a forum on a paid host's website makes the host look unprofessional? Or do you prefer to sign up with paid hosts that do have one?

I don't care either way really. Sometimes the forum can be used as a means of tech support, and that is good.

If it was an almost-dead, spam filled forum I would worry. If it was well moderated and at least reasonably active, I would see that as a positive thing.

well forum on host's site is always good because others can share their thoughts and stuff...

i dont like to have applications in the forum.... applicatoins should be handled by support ticket and ... customer service should be done by live chat

Its the best way of providing suport and customers can take help from fellow customers on the forums even if the admin uis not around, else they have alot of support and genral infroamtion about the hosting and the website, so in the end, its a great way of customer service!

A forum on a hosts site if a convenient way for owners or other members to help you out, so I dont see how it could be a drawback. As long as they have other methods of support as well a forum is a great addition.

If it's well maintained and there is a dedicated person to post on it, it's a great addition to the support.

IT doesn't really make it look professional but people would like to use the forum as a support forum and ask any presale questions.

If you are able to keep it up and work on it, a forum is good for any business that deals with online clients. I have no problems with this and I even might think about starting a forum on my hosting site too.
