    What is .NET?

    Microsoft®.NET is a set of software technologies for connecting information, people, systems, and devices. This new generation of technology is based on Web services - small building-block applications that can connect to each other as well as to other, larger applications over the Internet.

    Redstation's Entry Level, Business Hosting, Corporate Hosting and Secure Hosting accounts support the .NET Framework version 1 and 1.1. Dedicated Servers also fully support .NET.

      .Net is an advancement of Visual Basic from Microsoft. once VB rules the programming world and its next version is .net and its ruling the web now..

                well i will say that .NET is a technology introduced by Microsoft to tacle the market of java. MS just want to get the market which solely belonged to java.

                  its a advance computer language.and .NET will have as significant an effect on the computing world as the introduction of Windows. One concern being voiced is that although .NET's services will be accessible through any browser, they are likely to function more fully on products designed to work with .NET code.

                    Those windows servers with .net installed usually expensive than Linux web servers. So I prefer use PHP for my development work. Its free and you can find lot of free resources and also php hosting is cheap.

                        .NET involves a powerful integration with IIS. Min. requirements would be Windows enabled OS. Win9X is NOT SUPPORTED. Win 2000 and above will suffice. There are various guides available on Internet so any one can get hang of it

                            I will say. NET is a Microsoft technology introduced to the market Tackling Java technology. MS just want to get the market, which is only in Java.
