  • Does flash intro make a site look better?

I've seen many sites which give a nice flash intro about the site before entering. Do you guys think it makes the site look better or more attractive?

Depends on the intro I guess. Its a good way of wow'ing your new visitors and giving them lots of information in a short period of time I guess, others may just find them annoying, you should always have a skip intro button for those guys

Flash Intros in my opinion are very 1999 - 2000. I'd stick with adding flash elements in the header but staying away from a full flash website or intro. Just because users these days prefer fast loading rather than flashy or at least from my experience.

I think short flash intros that catch peoples eyes are good to put into the site. Even if you put a short intro in a flash header would be good instead of a seperate one on a different page that redirects to the home page.

Well im on AOL and it does take long to load anything. If it takes more than 2 minutes to load 50% of it I just leave it isnt worth it. But small flash intros can make all the difference on a site only if they load fast

I like flash intros, but most of the internet users don't, so I wouldn't use one.

It is being observed that Flash Intros make usage of certain flash elements that are being added to the header for enhancing the overall appearance of websites.

I'd say flash was more accepted back in 2005 Today, Flash goes against web 2.0 and isn't even accepted on most mobile phones. The key to a good design starts at cross browser compatibility.

Flash intro will make your website look better, but on SEO part, I dont think it will help you...
