  • Hosting Deals on Ebay

Anyone browsed Ebay for web hosting? Here's what I've done in the past. I search for "cpanel fantastico" and check the box to search the description. I then filter out everything above $2 and find some pretty good deals from users that have got good feedback. It's an easy way to check out a host without paying too much to find out if they're worth it.

I am sure there are a lot of good ebay people who do hosting, but I would be a bit wary myself from just a listing. I'd rather deal with someone I knew from the forums.

You could get a lot of nice deal in ebay. If you wanted to be serious in online business, buying a hosting with ebay deals for me is just not a good idea.

Ebay has something called the feedback system. So, if anyone buys their hosting and gets a raw deal, they can blast them on their feedback. Furthermore, anyone who registers with Ebay needs to provide their personal information which means it's very difficult for fraud to take place.

We have all seen the phenomenal growth spurt of eBay and have been amazed by it. Today eBay is a major market place that sells billions each and every day. With some basic skills you can find anything that you heart might desire on eBay. However, the problem is no longer is it being sold on eBay. eBay is such a huge market place that the new problem has become can you find it on eBay. ...

ebay might have lucrative deals on display but the point here is the credibility, i prefer to go by big names or to go for the someone i am familier to and can contact to if problem arises.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the feedback system. One of the problems with it is that people fear repercussions and thus may not post their grievance for fear of getting a negative feedback themselves. Course if the guy has like 99% with 500 or so, then he's probably pretty trustworthy. Also make sure his feedback score is based on selling such items and not buying.

I've seen those ebay packages. The only issue I had with them is that the packages are unlimited, and that would scare me. In hosting, nothing is unlimited. The technology can't allow it to be unlimited yet. So I would wonder what the hidden limit is.

I hadn't thought about looking for hosting packages in ebay. I don't feel well about it, not like a stable hosting company or someone you know for a while in forums.

In my opinion, the hosting companies that advertise on eBay are not reliable. If you look at when they were established, chances are it was not to long ago.

I would not purchase any hosting packages from eBay, unless there are good reviews from places other than their eBay feedback.
