you should get dedicated if you need more CPU, but usually VPS that costs about $50/month is better than dedicated server that costs $99/month, you will get better quality, but less resources.

Dedicated is the best option is you have money to afford that, in other case you have to go to a reliable VPS provider

Post your requirements in terms of bandwidth and disk space, it'll be easier to answer your question.

Start with a VPS, when your site grows, go to a Dedicated Server.

A lot of VPS providers still limit you in terms of CPU...which sort of defeats the purpose of a VPS.

Anyone who wants a recommendation for a VPS provider that doesn't shut you down for using too much CPU, please contact me.

It entirely depends on how much resources you use, you need the figures in order to make a good decision.

Also, keep in mind that VPS plans often, though not always, come with managed service (note also that various providers include different components in their managed services packages). If you do not want to maintain a server, whether viritual or dedicated, managed services are a good thing to keep your server healthy and secure.

For that matter, you can also buy managed services for a dedicated server, whether from the host or from a third party management company.

If you got the kind of money that you need for Dedicated, then ofcourse it should be Dedicated. If you're in a budget, then VPS.

Start with VPS and than move to dedicated one.
There are many companies ogffering VPS with Dedicated servers as well.
I suggest you have a look at A2hosting.com they have both and considering that they have latestes PHP, MySQL and Ror solutions that makes thaem very attractive.

I would chose VPS, look how it goes, and if you need more power you can move to a dedicated server. It could spare a lot of money.

I advice you to take vps at hostgator. It's the best vps and dedicated server hosting.

A VPS will be good for you IMO.

You should start with a VPS and then move to a dedicated server. With a VPS you will be sharing the CPU although the CPU will be very fast with multiple cores.

it's a no-brainer that a dedicated server is better, but a properly configured VPS can give your site great performance and save your expenses.
for something like $50 you can get
50GBs of disk space, 512MBs of guaranteed RAM, 768MBs of burstable RAM and 1,500GBs of bandwidth plus support from serverpoint.com.

I'm sure there are other good VPS hosting deals, so what providers are you using?

It is always recommended to start with a VPS and then simply move to a dedicated server. With a VPS you can able to share the CPU although the CPU will be very fast with multiple cores.

I will always say dedicated is the better choice.

It depends if your site is that resource intense.

The difference between VPS and dedicated is that you are the only person in separate files on the server. VPS is a virtualization environment where everyone can access the root inside a virtual machine, but several people on one of the VM is given physical server. If you are used to manage sites on VPS as root, so it is more difficult to manage their own servers.

I am going to choose VPs in both of them. It would go like that and I would need more power to move it to dedicated server.

vps is enough for me ,why not choose a better vps than the one you are using, dedicated service is costlier

Dedicated is always best, but is normally more expensive, but you will probably get away with a VPS it depends how many resources you use, it's all a numbers game.

People should start hosting using VPS before moving on for dedicated servers. VPS is great, it allows you to share CPU with high speed multiple cores.

The better choice is definitely Dedicated. However, if you can't afford it and/or need to start on some form of platform then you can use a VPS server. You should go with VPS to begin with.

dedicated hosting is always best rather than vps hosting.

As what is the usual process goes, you must always have to begin with a VPS and then gradually proceed to your chosen server. Through this VPS you can guarantee on sharing with other CPU.

Free website hosts are good for many things, but for hosting a business website, you cannot beat professional paid web hosting for reliability, service, and support

If you have a site with heavy CPU resource, I think VPS is the best alternative for you. In this VPS you can maximize your hosting without worry about stability.

Dedicated Hosting offers more privacy over VPS or shared hosting, The owner of dedicated server has the full control over the server(s) and also have the choice of operating system, hardware etc. Server administration is usually provided by the hosting provider company. He/she doesn't need to share bandwidth, web space or any features with other website.
