I would recommend upgrading to phpBB3. It is much more sophisticated than the legacy version (phpBB2).

The only reliable VPS provider I have used in the past is Future Hosting...

Please remember to not buy a vps with less than 512 mb of RAM if you want to run comfortably your webspace.
Apache will be about 150-250MB once all of the modules are loaded, BIND can also grow to 100MB or much more, depending on the number of zones you're hosting and whether it is providing recursive DNS service. Postfix always stays pretty small, but the spam and anti-virus tools are unavoidably quite memory and CPU intensive.

The only reliable supplier of VPS which I employed in the past is the future reception. They are one of cheaper than I ever saw. Moreover, they could be good for the reception of Web of play.
