Hi!
which would you prefer a vps (virtual private server) or a ds (dedicated server) and why?
Do give a detail reason because it might help me to choose one for me

I prefer VPS rather then having an dedicated server. As , these dedicated servers ae configured wiht the cables and might have problems. Because of that I prefer VPS so that there will be no interrupiton in the service.

In dedicated server, you need to purchase the physical server. On the other hand, in VPS do not need to buy the physical server. I do not think it works that way.
If you plan to buy a vps or a dedicated server according to what people think I do not think would be a good idea.
Best practice is to post a budget and for what you are going to use the dedicated server or the vps and then you can ask people why they would pick one over the other.

Its all depend on your requirements. If you have small business the VPS is good. If its Huge business the go for Dedicated.

I would personally prefer VPS server over dedicated server. VPS server almost has the same features of a dedicated server and it is also very cheaper than dedicated server. If you need a server for HEAVY USAGE then you should go for dedicated server, but it's more expensive and needs management.
VPS is great if you don't need a BIG port or BIG CPU and RAM. Usually great for Normal sites or download servers.
