  • windows or linux vps?

    I want to know which is the best vps hositng till now . So, that we can get good service with less problems and more reliability. Does opting for windows vps or linux vps?

    You'd be better to start from Linux as it's much cheaper and easier to manage. Linux performs well for most applications, Linux is well known for its reliability and does include a very robust packet filtering firewall system and many intrusion detection tools.
    Think VPS services from Gazzin.com will meet all your needs.

      You know, the platform choice depends on the application you are going to host. If you choose Windows you will have capability to run all possible applications, but on Linux platform you can host applications which only support linux webhosting, not windows. As for recommendation, check out serverpoint.com VPS hosting offers as it also has reliable equipment, redundant bandwidth, and a highly-trained staff.

        I would got for linux vps like the posts above say. It's more stable and has all you need to run your site.

          Go with one for amonth and with another for a month and then compare results. Companies like Serverpoint.com or VPSland.com have both windows and linux. So you can run your testing within one company

                InMotion was one of the first hosts to offer modern VPS hosting and their experience and expertise really makes a huge difference.I am using it and very much satisfied with that. Have a look offering here http://webhostinggeeks.com.

                  Linux vps server is a batter decision for sure. It is easier to handle with it which is an important fact for an (avarage) new user.

                    I'd like to point out that Linux VPS hosting will be cheaper than Windows, but it really depends on the applications you are going to host. For recommendation, check out webintellects.com as they offer Linux and Windows VPS in very low price along with superb customer service, giving you the confidence you need to know it'll be around for years to come.

                      I heard a lot on Linux as cheaper, but then Windows is more popular and more reliable. Yes, it really depends on the applications you have in mind to host.

                        My suggestion to you would be to go for windows.The simple reason is that you can possibly use all the applications that you want to use and that is not the case with linux.trust me its really frustrating when you cannot use even after having a system.

                            I would go for linux, cheap, easy and reliable. You need all that especially when your starting off new.

                              in fact, no VPS provider is the best...
                              but you can choose the one suit you the best
                              you should consider the following factors when choosing VPS provider

                              Operating System
                              CPU, disk space and bandwidth guarantee;
                              Supported application;
                              Supported program, database and protocol;
                              Monthly transfer limit;
                              uptime guarantee;
                              Security;
                              Host server configuration;
                              Extra service (Extra storage, memory, ip address, etc);
                              Other supporting service (system maintenance and reinstallation, monitor and backup service);
                              Location of the host;
                              Price (server, setup, domain, etc);

                              remember that the spec of the host is not the only factor!
                              if u just start using vps
                              consider what you really need and choose the best suit!
                              good luck
