  • Do you use the ad-blocker on FireFox?

I've seen that their are mods for firefox that block out ads, I think this annoying for web developers most of the time it's the way they get paid and then you these mods floating around that block them and you won't even get paid.

    Thoughts?

Re: Do you use the ad-blocker on FireFox?

I don't use any ad-blocker anymore. I used to have one, but it also blocked half of the normal images with links in it... Popupblockers are my favourite ad-destroyers though (popups are really annoying)

About the preventing web developers from earning money thing; I think only a small minority uses real adblockers, so it will not matter that much on short-term. On long term it might be about 5% loss max I think

I personally use both FF and IE pop-up blockers.

They suit my needs perfectly and block out the majority of annoying pop-ups. Most of the sites I go on do not have pop-ups anyway so it's not really much of an issue.

I use FireFox's popup blocker, it doesn't work "fantasticly" but it does block the majority of the annoying popups. Mostly all the websites I visit doesn't have popups but I keep the popup blocker on just incase .

I have a popup blocker but I dont see the necessity of ad-blockers.

They do not trouble me a lot

Yes I do use it. It is nice, because I can get rid of a lots of ads, what it botheres me. Do you know what is the problem? Well, MY SITES, what it has ads, will not show ads. It is really bad, that customers cant see ads and click them. As sword, adblockers got 2 side for us, webmasters.

i only use a popup blocker in ff, i don't block any others because i don't really notice them, and i don't see any reason for me to stop a developers revenue
