The importance of on page SEO and off page SEO is really immense and I am aware of that. For newly launched websites, it is a definite must. To find your sites, it can help search engines really well. Of the different link building strategies available, I need to get some knowledge. To my site, I desire to gather maximum links. What do you think about using directory submission? All the people I know from this industry seem to praise it a whole lot. To attract superior backlinks, it seems to be a perfect technique. Could someone guide me if that is true?

dirctory submission is a method used by many SEO experts and webmasters to gain backlinks from directory sites, the method involves submitting your website to those directory sites, there exist two types of directory sites, one which are paid and the other which are free, off course the paid ones are assuredto be approved by the that directory site admin, and thus give a backlink

The ultimate guide to directory submissions
Submitting to directories is a great way to build links and increase your search engine rankings. In semi-competitive industries it can produce great results. If you add article creation and social media marketing into the link building equation then you can achieve great results for any industry.
Free or paid directories?
When choosing directories going for the paid ones can be better, mainly because the links seem to last a lot longer. Many of the free directories seem to disappear or delete links after a year or so. However, there are a few free directories out there that should always be used - directories that have stood the test of time.
Niche or general directories?
Submitting to a combination of both niche and general directories is usually a good idea.
For most industries there are a variety of niche directories out there - the best way to find them is through a search engine. Do a search on Google, MSN or Yahoo for directories in your niche area - those that come up in the first few pages of results are usually the best ones to use.
With general directories it's better to go for those that are more established. The older a directory is, the better.

I believe that directories should have 3 main characteristics for them to be worth submitting your website(s) to.
1: The more targeted the niche, the better. For example, it is better submitting to a directory about cars than a general directory, if you website(s) is about cars.
2: You want the overall website to have some unique content. This can come in the form of articles, reviews, tutorials, etc.
3: You want the links that point back to your website to be search engine friendly.Submit Your Free Web Hosts to FreeWebsiteHostingReviews.com

Internet directory listings are a great way of acquiring links for your site. I find that submissions are the best place to start promoting a new site. Web directories offer links for free, for a fee or in exchange for a link.Free site submission is a great source of links. It's a great feeling getting your site listed on a high PR page, especially when it happens within a couple of days. On the other hand, free sites often have significant back logs and many may never get around to adding your link. The good free sites are out there and we help you find them.
