What exactly does it mean a NATURAL LINK PROFILE?
We have to always remember that Google is a Robot, a computer program, and all he can do is calculations. So let's try to figure out what can he calculate regarding to pur link profile! I am very exhausted after reading so many platitudes in the years I have done seo, so I will try a post that has actionable advise and not general information.
1. First thing we can think of is dofollow / nofollow procentage. Do you have only dofollow links pointing to your website? Maybe some nofollow links will make your profile appear more natural. Seomoz has an article about this.
2. Origin of backlinks. If you have a website on a country tld, does it rank better on that country google domain or .com? If your link profile has only backlinks from websites on your country tld, that can affect your .com rankings. Try getting some .com backlinks or viceversa.
3. Phisical location of the websites that link to you. If you have 100 domains linking back to you, it would be best that these domains have 100 diffrent IPs. Maybe 100 domains with 90 ip addresses is not bad after all, but 100 domains with one IP address is not going to get you anywhere in rankings.
4. Do all your links come from wordpress blogs? Or tumblr blogs? Or any other single platform? You should mix them up. Some from blogger, some from wordpress, some from forums and some from social bookmarking.

Origin of backlinks. If you have a website on a TLD country, it ranks better in this country or area of Google. Com? If your profile is linked sites backlinks in your country TLD, it can affect you keyword position. Try to get some. Backlinks Com or vice versa.
