Hi,
I'm currently on Hostgator's shared hosting plan . I've hosted a blog and a forum with about 5,500 members. Everything was going fine till a couple of months ago, when often during peak traffic hours, members would start getting internal server errors on the blog and forums.
I contacted Hostgator support and they said my site was exceeding the process limit and there were too many processes running. They recommended that I upgrade to VPS hosting, where there is no process limit.
Are they correct about the reason for the server errors, and should I consider upgrading to VPS?
Thanks
